When two different flow temperatures are used, a second control cycle with a mixer is normally installed for panel heating.![]() This is not always possible. For existing heating installations the RTLT valve is used for detached heating circuits. ![]() For the installation of a number of heating circuits, e.g. one storey in a building with only one (high temperature) control circuit, the Pumping Distribution Station is usually the most inexpensive, fastest to assemble and technically most appropriate solution. The pumping distribution station makes possible the use of a number of heating circuits which can be regulated and operate with low flow temperatures. The following animation shows how the pumping distribution station (PDST) functions (the animation begins with the "neutral" heating layout 1/10): ![]() Mode of operation: The PDST flow temperature is regulated via the thermostat head control valve by injecting (mixing) the hot flow water. Setting range: 20 to 50 °C Note: The temperature of the hot flow water has to be at least 10°C higher than the required flow temperature after the PDST. Complete unit: ![]()
