Keeping a cool head
This isn't always easy on hot summer's days. However, with our ceiling cooling system, which reduces noise and drafts to a minimum, you can improve well-being and productivity in the office and get a good night's sleep in the bedroom.
More than ever modern office and administration buildings are places where productivity is vital. For this reason considerable demands are made on workplace quality, efficiency and functionality in combination with overall economy. With regard to workplace quality, ambient temperature conditions play an important role.
Above: tests have shown how sharply performance levels fall when ambient temperatures rise (see diagram on left). Sleep quality, too, suffers under excessively high ambient temperatures.
Conventional air-conditioning units may create cool ambient temperatures with appropriate humidity, but this is normally accompanied by drafts and noise, not to forget the "chill factor" when you enter an air-conditioned room - and the abrupt change when you are in natural surroundings again. No wonder this often leads to colds.
Depending on requirements, the air in the room has to be circulated to a considerable extent, which also costs energy. Using water as a medium warmth can be transported much more easily (high level of heat capacity and density). This permits major cost savings during operation.
If a complete air-conditioning system is required (with automatic air exchange and relative humidity regulation) in addition to the cooling, source air units are especially suitable. In combination with ceiling cooling these units require a minimum of air exchange.
