At Variotherm, protecting your privacy is important to us. For this reason, we implement appropriate measures, which are explained below. As a user, you agree to the data processing based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 of the European Parliament as per this declaration.

Variotherm Heizsysteme GmbH reserves the right to adapt the information provided in this privacy policy to changed legislation or jurisdiction without prior notice. The version published on this website is valid.

The legal basis is the European General Data Protection Regulation with the effective date of May 25, 2018.

By using our website, you consent to us collecting certain data. To ensure the best possible protection of your data, we commit to recording only absolutely relevant data and protecting it. When you visit our website, we only collect indirect personal data. You browse our pages anonymously without us being able to determine your identity. We only know the following information:

• IP address of the requesting computer, along with date and time
• Identification data of the browser and operating system used
• (if released by you) from which location you access our website
• how long you stay on our site
• the website from which you reached our site
• those web pages you access from www.variotherm.com

We evaluate this information for statistical purposes to continuously optimize our offer. You remain unrecognized as an individual visitor to the website.

No personal data is automatically determined on the website of Variotherm Heizsysteme GmbH. This means: Personal data such as (for example) name, address, telephone number, etc., you only disclose to us through your active input of this information.

Data entered via the website

If data is entered within the framework of the website, we process it as follows:

Newsletter: Data entered to receive our newsletter is stored by us and used exclusively for sending email newsletters. The processed data is used exclusively by Variotherm and Variotherm service providers for the specified purposes and may be deleted again in accordance with the usage agreement. The newsletter can be revoked at any time.

Contact form: Data entered to request information material or inquiries about Variotherm and Variotherm products is stored by us and used exclusively for transmitting the requested information. Inquiries outside of Austria are forwarded to selected partners and also used exclusively for transmitting the requested information according to GDPR.

Inquiry button on the "Partner Companies" page: If the user makes an inquiry via the inquiry button on the "Partner Companies" page, this inquiry is directed directly to the selected sales partner.

reCaptcha: We use the Google service reCaptcha to determine whether a human or a computer is making a particular entry in our contact or newsletter form. Google checks the following data to determine whether you are a human or a computer: IP address of the used device, the website you visit with us and on which the captcha is embedded, the date and duration of the visit, identification data of the browser and operating system type used, Google account if you are logged in to Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas, and tasks where you have to identify images. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. There is a legitimate interest on our part in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and to protect us from automated entries (attacks).

Variotherm Heizsysteme GmbH does not create personal user profiles.

Right to object

Users of the Variotherm site have the right to revoke the storage of personal data at any time. The data will then be irrevocably deleted.

Facebook / Meta

Use of Meta cookies (e.g., Facebook Pixel / Meta Pixel): On our website, we use the so-called Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland). The Meta Pixel allows us to determine the visitors of our website as a target group for displaying ads (so-called Facebook Ads/Meta Ads) and to measure or analyze their success. The Meta Pixel establishes a direct connection to the Meta servers when visiting our website. Meta assigns this visit to your personal Facebook/Meta user account if you are logged in, or can process data (e.g., IP address, user behavior, interactions on our website) and reuse it in pseudonymized form. IP anonymization

Google uses the "IP anonymization activation" function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, the data protection authority is responsible.

Objection to advertising emails The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
