Two Apartments, a Consistent Heating Concept

With the Almchalet Flattnitz, a high-quality chalet project has been realized in the municipality of Glödnitz in the Carinthian Nockberge, harmoniously combining comfort, connection to nature, and modern living. The chalet includes two separately bookable apartments, each with around 100 square meters, offering its guests a high-quality ambiance for relaxation, retreat, and nature experience amidst the Flattnitz mountain world.

A surface heating system from Variotherm ensures a cozy indoor climate and pleasant warmth in this project. 92 m² of dry wall underfloor heating was installed in one apartment, while 86 m² of wet screed underfloor heating was installed in the other. This creates a uniformly tempered living environment that ideally complements the high demands of the project for comfort and quality.

The Almchalet is supplied by an environmentally friendly pellet central heating system, which provides cozy warmth in all rooms through underfloor heating, contributing to the sustainable coziness of the house. In such a chalet, a surface heating system is the appropriate solution: it works discreetly in the background, creates free design spaces, and supports a pleasant, even warmth feeling throughout the building.

The project demonstrates how a surface heating system can be integrated into a modern chalet concept. By combining dry wall and wet screed underfloor heating, it was possible to respond appropriately to different structural requirements. This resulted in a continuous heat distribution that meets the functional requirements of the building as well as the desired usage comfort.
