Ceiling renovation during ongoing bank operations

The uncomplicated and rapid installation was literally worth its weight in gold for the renovation of a bank branch in southeastern Styria. The innovative heating and cooling system from Variotherm now enables not only energy efficient heating and cooling but also a pleasant indoor climate thanks to the acoustic function.

Tailored solution

The Raiffeisenkasse Region Fehring had to renovate a bank branch in Southeast Styria because the previous heating and cooling solution did not deliver optimal results. The renovation was originally intended to be a showcase project. However, the selected cooling ceiling was dimensioned far too small and was based on a system inefficient for these requirements.

The bank branch was therefore looking for an innovative and truly functioning sustainable energy efficient heating and cooling solution! With the request to Variotherm, the experienced technical team, together with the innovative installation company PMB Fehring, was able to implement an individual, tailor-made, and sustainably energy-saving solution for the bank.

With the ModularCeiling from Variotherm, which can now be used for both cooling and heating and also features a sound-absorbing Acoustic Surface, the Southeast Styrian bank is now more than satisfied. Moreover, the renovation could even be carried out during ongoing opening or operating hours without tedious closing days.

Perfect material mix.

By switching to Variotherm products, the bank is now relying on a heating and cooling system that is not only sustainable and energy efficient but also forms a finished, aesthetic ceiling. Function and form are thus united without any further effort or cost. The special feature: Thanks to decades of experience and great innovative spirit, the materials used are perfectly matched to each other.

Particularly noteworthy is the pre-integrated VarioModular-Pipe, through which cooled water circulates in summer and heated water in winter. The pipe is firmly enclosed by an Ecologically Tested gypsum fiberboard. If air were to be present between the pipes and the gypsum fiberboards, it would act as an additional insulator, preventing efficient heat transfer.

Furthermore, Variotherm does not use small or thin plastic pipes, but high-quality aluminium multi-layer composite pipes, which, thanks to their mirror-smooth inner surface, cause less pressure loss and no deposits in the pipes. Through this intelligently assembled and high-quality produced Variotherm system, heat or coolness can be transferred optimally and extremely efficiently – and the Raiffeisenkasse Region Fehring now also benefits from this.

Comfortable indoor climate without compromises.

Four functions combined in one system: Cooling + Heating + Sound reduction + finished ceiling. The Variotherm ModularPanels are screwed onto a standard substructure made of wood or metal profiles. After filling and painting, the ceiling is already finished.

The finished ModularCeiling warms or cools all rooms, such as offices or apartments, and simultaneously has a sound-absorbing Acoustic Surface. This reduces both quiet and loud noises and noise as well as echoing echoes. In a bank with high customer frequency and customer service with discretion, the acoustic ceiling allows for the creation of a pleasant and trustworthy environment. Additionally, the ceiling heating and cooling operate completely silently and without unpleasant drafts.

Thanks to the Variotherm products, the old, inefficient system could be replaced by a new and sustainable heating and cooling system with an integrated acoustic ceiling. For a pleasant room climate – for employees and customers.
