Even comfort needs creativity.
Sometimes more is better. The builder near Lebring (Styria) wanted to make his new home completely comfortable. Thus, it was clear to him: There will not be one system for all rooms, because each room needs the appropriate heating. Conclusion: 4 different heating systems will warm the bungalow in the future. It was important to the builder that only Austrian companies be engaged for his construction project. During his internet research, he came across Variotherm heating systems, as all products for heating and cooling are produced in Austria – more precisely in Lower Austria. Together with the installer he trusts, Ing. Gerald Jahrbacher from Wildon, he worked out the perfect heating concept for the 270 m² single-family house.
Even more Radiant Heat
The concept is impressive: The plastered Wall Heating was installed in both bathrooms, the living room, and the conservatory. Even in the shower area, heating pipes were laid, making this area particularly cozy. An Underfloor Heating in Drywall Construction additionally ensures warm feet in the bathrooms. "Now I probably won't be able to get my family out of the bathroom," laughs the builder.
The ceiling heating provides pleasant Radiant Heat in the living and sleeping areas and the office. Even the garage was equipped with a ModularCeiling. Along the large glass surfaces in the living room and conservatory, a Trench Heating System was installed. Within a short time, a warm air curtain builds up and shields the cold from outside. In the hallway area, an Underfloor Heating in Drywall Construction with a pipe spacing of 15 cm was laid.
Of course, the builder also thought about room Cooling. While the house is currently heated with a pellet heating system, the areas activated for ceiling and Wall Heating/Cooling will be connected to a heat pump in the future. This way, in summer, approximately 16 °C cool water can flow through the heating pipes, and the rooms can be healthily cooled.
In total, 39 heating and Cooling circuits were distributed across several VarioManifolds .
Since each system has its strengths, the maximum could be extracted from each individual Variotherm product. In a few months, the builder will move into his new home with his family and enjoy a cozy beer on his terrace. We say: Cheers!
