Optimal living space climate for the Tirol Center.

An important aspect of employee well-being in the workplace is the indoor climate. This not only has a decisive impact on the health of the employees but also on their work performance.

The Tirol Center in Kematen is therefore not only a contact for innovative and future-oriented companies, but also relies on an innovative approach to the topic of Heating and Cooling: With the surface Heating and Cooling from Variotherm, the modern office building is energy efficient heated in winter and pleasantly cooled over the entire area in summer – and exclusively via the Ceiling. Important: Ceiling Cooling from Variotherm operates free of drafts and absolutely Silent. Through the acoustic holes and the acoustic fleece, the ModularCeiling also creates an optimized room sound, which is all the more essential in the stressful office environment.

Individual planning concept for installer and builder.

The large-scale lighting fixtures and various ventilation areas were considered from the beginning by our Variotherm Technology and Consulting team. The solution was an individually designed concept for 250m2 of Ceiling Cooling and Heating for Drywall Construction: For an aesthetically and technically flawless design, the ceiling was activated on one hand with the classic ModularCeiling and on the other hand with the one including the sound-absorbing Acoustic Surface.

The topic of Cooling is always considered at Variotherm: “Those who cool through the ceiling feel comfortable in the room at around 26 °C due to the radiation exchange. Thus, we plan about 80% of the room area as a cooling surface!”

In comparison, an air conditioning system would have to cool the room temperature down to about 23 °C to achieve the same comfort. This way, a water-based surface Heating and Cooling system saves up to 30% in energy costs.
