The building without compromises.
Interlocking trades.
What began as an experiment is now a prime example of successful collaboration between different trades. In the barrier-free house with 88 m2 of living space, the trades were optimally coordinated in advance. The decision to use complete systems from Variotherm was therefore a logical consequence, as the installer was able to shorten the installation time and significantly reduce the potential for errors. Remarkably, petroleum-based materials such as classic insulation systems or PU foam were completely avoided - in this house, “everything is biological!”
In today's world, people often talk about smart homes and primarily think of building automation. "At least equally important," says Farassat, “is not only equipping the building intelligently but also building it intelligently from the ground up and utilizing the surfaces that are already there - namely the floor, the walls, and the ceiling!”
He speaks of cooling and heating, indeed simply of comfort in the room. Thus, surface heating and cooling systems from Variotherm are used throughout the entire property.
Use areas with maximum efficiency.
To feel comfortable, it must not be too cold or too warm. Naturally, the builder always asks themselves about the optimal system at the beginning. In this case, it was very quickly clear that the builder wanted to perfectly combine the floor, wall, and ceiling.
For the shell construction, a timber frame system from the region was used. Since screed was omitted, the pipes for the underfloor heating were considered directly with the floor slab. "Three Variotherm systems were integrated throughout the building:
The floor for heating, the ceiling for cooling, and the wall for comfort. Basically, walls offer the largest exchange surface, so the radiant heat in wall heating is particularly noticeable.
A smart house even builds with Variotherm.
