Kick-off in Athens
At comfortable spring temperatures, the first event organised by our Variotherm partner, Calda Energy, took place in Athens on 26 February. This event marked the official start of collaboration in the area of wall heating and cooling systems, which was already under preparation last year.
120 planners, architects, installers, heating engineers and partners of Calda met one evening for an information event to discuss low-temperature systems in the field of heating technology which was organised by Calda Energy. The focus was on the innovative product and system solutions provided by Variotherm for drywall and screed projects. Managing Director Alexander Watzek introduced the guests to the company’s product portfolio.
He presented the technical properties and aspects of the systems, as well as their advantages over other similar products on the market. The guests showed a particular interest in the VarioComp energy efficient, super slim drywall floor heating. The successful information evening was rounded off with a relaxed cocktail.
Tried and tested
While in February of this year collaboration with Calda Energy officially started, two successful projects were already implemented last year in Greece:
The 40 m² office space of the Managing Director and the seminar room of our partner Calda, with an area of 75 m², were swathed in the cosy radiant warmth provided by Variotherm. The ModuleCeiling-Classic and Acoustic systems were used, as was the ModuleWall. With this product solution, the rooms will be optimally tempered in both winter and summer.

The new prefabricated house with around 150 m² on Crete, in Rethymno, was equipped with the low energy system for VarioComp drywall floor heating. The basis for making the decision was the low panel thickness of 20 mm and the fast, easy assembly. The entire heating solution was laid and ready for use in just five days.
