RED NOSES running for charity

44 keen runners belonging to the Variotherm team took part again this year in the RED NOSES race in Leobersdorf on 31 August 2014 under the motto "Run for Charity", with fun had by all.

The tough event sees participants chalk up kilometre after kilometre for good causes, with 460 this year earned by the VariothermSports team, pouring valuable donations towards the work of the RED NOSES with each kilometre covered.

For 20 years, RED NOSES clown doctors have been bringing laughter to some of the most unlikely of places, undoubtedly, however, where it's truly been needed: to children in paediatric surgical wards, cardiology, oncology and ICU wards, to children and young persons in special and remedial pedagogy units and even to grown-ups in geriatric and rehabilitation centres.

RED NOSES clown doctors visit people whose needs include emotional support in the recovery process and in improving vitality, wherever they happen to be. 65 RED NOSES clowns in Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, Carinthia, Styria and Tyrol visit more than 135,000 sick children and adults in need of cheering up on over 2,700 clown visits annually.
